Hello!

My name is Stephanie Zais, and I am the owner of Pixie Dust Paint Company. I was fortunate to be able to purchase the business from a dear friend, Sarina Correa Safford, in July of 2020. I watched her grow this little paint business near the shores of Tampa Bay into something amazing and unique, and I was more than happy to take the reins to help it grow even more!

Pixie Dust Paints was created by Sarina out of a love for restoring and recycling treasures, a need for an affordable chalk finish paint IN ANY COLOR SHE WANTED, and a dedication to keeping the planet green by using only natural ingredients. I am pleased to say that I've kept that tradition alive and well and will continue to hold those values as we increase product lines and markets.

At the time Pixie Dust chalk additive was imagined, there were very few options available in the chalk finish paint world. Plus - they were expensive! Not willing to settle for ~30 different available colors, Sarina spent months of research and many tests on just the right combination of clay, chalk, calcium, and limestone that had a great feel, excellent coverage, was durable, allowed for any paint color, AND was 100% safe and 100% non-toxic. By 2014, Pixie Dust Paint Company was born!

 Sarina grew the business to the point of offering Pixie products to other local boutique shop owners who were looking for the same thing. By the time I took the business over, Sarina had made the Pixie Dust, Pixie Paste (Wax), and Pixie Texture available to resellers in over 30 states! Now, we also have Pixie Powders (mica gilding powders) and a distributor in Canada! In 2021, I will be adding Glazes, Metallic Paints, and ready-to-go chalk finish paints using the very Pixie Dust that got it all started. 

My hope is that you find Pixie Dust products to be a joy to work with. After all, who wants to put in time and effort into painting something if the products don't measure up?
